Joe proposed to his girlfriend at the start of March and has been planning a party to share the news with family and friends. The couple has been dating for over ten years, after meeting while at secondary school together in 2008. Since then, they have been at university together and now work in the same primary school in Lancashire. For the party, Joe is wanting to host an event at their home, which has plenty of space for their 40 guests to enjoy a great meal and celebrate together. For the catering, Hog Roast Burnley has been hired to provide a classic hog roast for the occasion, alongside a meat-free alternative for 4 of the guests. Our catering manager Sophie was more than happy to get involved with this event and to provide a delicious menu for such a great occasion!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Burnley team arrived at the home in Lancashire and set up our catering station in the kitchen. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection, before it was expertly carved by our chef. The pork was then served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we also provided halloumi and vegetable skewers as a meat-free option. For the side dishes, we served homemade chips and a selection of salad dishes to create a varied and delicious buffet meal.
