A Memorable 90th Birthday Bash at Hog Roast Ripon

Take Flora’s 90th birthday, for example. Cathy, Flora’s daughter, pulled out all the stops to make it a celebration worthy of her incredible mum. And let us tell you – it was nothing short of spectacular!

Cathy chose a stunning two-tier venue with sweeping views of the Lancashire countryside. A wall of windows flooded the space with natural light, while lilac and gold decorations, from balloon arches to elegant table settings, gave the venue a touch of glamour. The setup was picture-perfect for such a momentous occasion.

Of course, a celebration like this calls for an unforgettable feast, and that’s where Hog Roast Ripon came in. With Sophie, our culinary maestro, leading the charge, Cathy opted for our Hog Roast Dining Experience – a match made in party-planning heaven.

Hog Roast RiponGuests arrived to glasses of fizz and a spread of tantalising canapés, including smoked salmon, mini quiches, chicken liver parfait, mini fish and chips, and handmade gourmet sausages. The room buzzed with excitement as friends and family eagerly awaited Flora’s grand entrance. And what an entrance it was! As Flora stepped into the room, cheers, applause, and even a few happy tears filled the air. Her beaming smile lit up the room, setting the tone for the day’s festivities.

Then came the culinary highlight: the buffet. Flora led the charge, filling her plate from the banquet of succulent hog roast, juicy free-range chicken, and flavourful grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs. Guests followed suit, adding generous helpings of crisp salad, creamy coleslaw, and perfectly roasted new potatoes to their plates.

To top it all off, dessert stole the show. Guests savoured vacherins topped with strawberries and passion fruit cream, alongside rich, decadent chocolate tortes. The plates were empty in no time, and the rave reviews were endless.
