At Hog Roast Middleton, there’s nothing we enjoy more than welcoming new faces and sharing what makes our hog roasts so special. But when a familiar name pops up in our bookings? That’s when we know we’re doing something right.
Having the chance to return and cater for the same people time and again is an honour we never take for granted.
Take St Anne’s Academy in Middleton, for example. They’ve invited us back to provide food for their annual sports evening every year for the past four years. And, when they reached out again this year, we were genuinely delighted to be part of their celebrations once again.
Now, unfortunately, the weather didn’t quite get the memo that this was supposed to be a summer event. Yes, it was raining buckets all evening long, and huge puddles took over the outdoor patio. But that didn’t stop Hog Roast Middleton from putting on an epic spread.
Under the protection of our trust catering gazebo, Hog Roast Middleton’s catering crew prepared the perfect hog roast feast for a whopping 225 guests. Sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and slow-cooked pulled pork served on soft white buns was the highlight of the night.
Seriously, guests couldn’t get enough and many came back over and over again for extra servings of our namesake pig.
We’re not ones to leave anyone out, so you can bet we also served up some truly sensational meat-free options for the veggie and vegans in attendance. These came in the form of grilled vegetable skewers with optional halloumi chunks, flatbreads, tzatziki dip, and a sweet chilli sauce that packed a punch. Guests obsessed over these tasty kebabs. Packed with red onions, juicy bell peppers, corn on the cobb slices and those flavourful halloumi bites, this option was as colourful as it was tasty.
Once again, our hosts were absolutely over the moon with the buffet Hog Roast Middleton provided. In fact, everyone who attended loved the food and couldn’t stop talking about it all evening long.
Thanks St Annes Academy for having us again – we hope to see you again next summer. And hopefull the sun will make an appearance too!
