Spitting Pig Lancashire Visits The Home Of The Clarets!

Being a great caterer isn’t just about serving great food – that’s the easy part. It’s about adapting on the fly and making every customer feel like a VIP.

lancashireAt Spitting Pig Lancashire, that’s what we do best. So, even though we were buzzing to visit Burnley Football Club back in June for their training ground opening, it was no problem at all when the date moved. These things happen. Life gets busy, schedules shift, and our team is always happy to bend and flex so the day still runs perfectly.

Now, finally, the big day is upon us! About 70 local business guests will be heading to the home of The Clarets for a proper behind-the-scenes tour of the newly upgraded training ground – and we can’t wait to be part of it.

After a £4.6 million investment and almost two years of work, the site is looking top class. With fresh pitches, modern indoor facilities, and spaces that bring the first team, youth, and development squads all together, it’s a huge step forward. You could say the club’s future is in safe hands – and we’re proud to be part of the celebrations.

And now… the part we’re looking forward to most: the food! The day kicks off with light refreshments at 11:30am, followed by another round at 12:15pm to keep everyone topped up. But the real showstopper starts at 12:45pm when Spitting Pig Lancashire lays out our full classic menu. Think slow-roasted hog with perfectly crisp crackling, tender pulled pork, sage and onion stuffing, and homemade applesauce, all tucked into soft rolls. Wholesome potatoes, crisp salads, and creamy coleslaw complete the plate – a proper feast that even the staunchest Burnley FC fan would give a cheer for.

Veggie or vegan? Don’t worry, Spitting Pig Lancashire has got you covered. Grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers with warm flatbreads and cool tzatziki are on the menu too, and we’ve noticed even the meat lovers can’t resist sneaking a taste.

And because no good day ends empty-handed, everyone will be heading home with a goody bag full of treats from local businesses. Food, football, and freebies – now that’s what we call a hat-trick!
