Spitting Pig Lancashire has some exciting news to share: a new venue has joined the fold. Yes, you read that right. We’ve recently teamed up with the rather lovely Hoghton Tower, adding this historic Lancashire gem to our growing list of partner venues.

If you’re wondering what makes Hoghton Tower so special – beyond having “Hog” right there in its name – its location is a pretty good place to start. Perched high on a hill in the heart of Lancashire, this jaw-dropping venue looks out across the Ribble Valley, with views reaching all the way to the Irish Sea on a clear day. It’s certainly not your average wedding backdrop, and that’s before you’ve even wandered the gardens and grounds.
And like we said, there’s plenty of history baked in too. Since 1978, the Hoghton Tower Preservation Trust has worked hard to protect over 1,000 years of local heritage for future generations, keeping the estate open to visitors, celebrations and plenty of couples looking to get married somewhere a little different from the usual.
Suffice to say, Spitting Pig Lancashire is absolutely thrilled to have Hoghton Tower on board. These partnerships aren’t just about padding out a list, they give us the chance to build genuine relationships with the teams we work alongside and really get to know the spaces we’re cooking in. That means when a couple books the venue and chooses us too, we already know exactly what to expect, which makes everything run that bit smoother on the day.

We were also lucky enough to get started working with them straight away. Our new partnership kicked off in properly tasty fashion when we joined the Hoghton Tower team for their recent wedding open day, which welcomed couples to explore the venue and get a feel for what their own big day could be like there.
And honestly, what better way to introduce ourselves than with a bit of hog roast? Spitting Pig Lancashire provided samples of our signature dish for couples to try while they chatted with our team about their wedding and catering plans. Unsurprisingly, those nibbles didn’t hang around for long, with hungry visitors making very quick work of them!
We couldn’t have thought up a better way to launch this new partnership, and we’re already looking forward to working with the Hoghton Tower team again – hopefully very soon!
