Christenings are beautiful milestones and a cracking excuse to get the whole family together in one room again. But when you’re celebrating two children at once – whether they’re twins, siblings of different ages or even cousins – the guest list and logistics can get on top of you fast. The one thing you shouldn’t have to lose sleep over, though, is the food.

Easier said than done, we know. With several generations under one roof and a guaranteed mix of dietary needs to think about, catering for a christening can sound like a headache waiting to happen. The good news is that Hog Roast Warrington has plenty of experience with these occasions and all it takes is a little extra planning to make sure the day goes off without a hitch.
That’s why getting in touch with us before Isaac and Elijah’s christening was the best move Katie could have made. As a parent, she already had enough on her plate with the venue, the decorations and the ceremony itself. Worrying about the menu on top of all that? Yeah, no thank you.
As always, Hog Roast Warrington was more than happy to step in and take the responsibility off her hands. And after walking her through the options, our catering manager put together a menu that suited everyone on the guest list to a T. Then, just when Katie thought things couldn’t go any more in her favour, the sun poked through the clouds and bathed the whole celebration in golden light.

If we’re being totally honest, Hog Roast Warrington was pretty grateful for that sunshine too. Warmer weather always helps to shave a little time off our cooking and with a big spread to prepare, every minute counts. We spent the day roasting a whole hog with all the trimmings, and served it alongside herby new potatoes and an equally tasty option for the non-meat-eaters. Adding to that, there were gourmet sausages (which went down a storm with the kids) and a selection of side salads so everyone got at least some of their five-a-day. Well, that’s our story anyway – and we’re sticking to it!
By the time the celebrations wrapped up later in the afternoon, Katie was absolutely thrilled with her decision to go with Hog Roast Warrington. Our tasty food, seamless service and bubbly attitude meant she could fully immerse herself in the celebrations instead of hovering nervously near the buffet table. And isn’t that exactly how it should be?
If you’re planning a christening of your own, whether for one little one or two, get in touch with Hog Roast Warrington today and let us take care of the feast, so you can concentrate on the cuddles.
