This August is Jade’s daughter’s birthday and she is currently in the process of planning the best party possible! Ellie loves Disney, especially the princesses, so the party will have a princess theme, including a visit from a real princess! Since the party will also include older family members and parents, Jade wanted to make sure that there would be something for everyone to enjoy. She decided to hire Hog Roast Freckleton to cater for the occasion since our hog roast is sure to be a crowd-pleaser! We added a few extra dishes to the menu to ensure that there was something for younger guests to enjoy, and now it is guaranteed to be a great addition to the party!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Freckleton team arrived at the function room in the morning and got to work on setting up our catering station. We began by slow-roasting the hog, which needed to cook for around five hours. Additionally, we prepared succulent pork sausages, veggie sausages, and marinated chicken kebabs. Once ready, the mains were served in fresh bread rolls and accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For the sides, the guests could choose from homemade chips, corn cobettes, gourmet coleslaw, creamy mac and cheese, and a selection of tasty salad options. We served our catering buffet style, which was ideal for allowing every guest to create their perfect lunch. Overall, our menu was a great addition to the party and was a big success with the grown-ups!
