Quick question: when you hear the name Hog Roast Ormskirk, what immediately pops into your head?
Probably a glorious, golden hog slowly turning on a spit, right? Crackling so crisp you can hear it snap from across the room?
You wouldn’t be wrong. We do make a seriously good pork roast (not to butter our own bread… but we’re kind of the best in the business).
However – and this is the part some people don’t realise – that’s not all we do. Not even close.
As much as we love pork we know not everyone shares the same enthusiasm. Some guests avoid it. Some prefer beef, chicken or lamb. Others skip meat entirely. And that’s totally fine by us. Catering would be pretty dull if every plate looked identical.
For Hog Roast Ormskirk, inclusivity isn’t a buzzword we sprinkle into conversation to win you over. It’s baked into how we plan menus and how we approach each and every booking. The last thing we’d ever want is for someone at your event to feel like an afterthought, poking at a side salad while everyone else tucks into something exciting.
Take our Southern Slow Roast menu, for example. No hog required. Instead, you’ll find smoky, slow-cooked meats inspired by bold Deep South flavours, alongside hearty sides that make building a plate half the fun. It’s rich, generous and designed to keep every kind of appetite satisfied.
And that’s just one option of many.
Over the years, we’ve stepped well outside the spit-roast lane. More recently our team have crafted homemade pies with golden pastry lids. Proper curries layered with spice. Even classic fish and chips served up fresh and crisp. Just because it’s not printed on a standard menu doesn’t mean we won’t do our best to make it happen.

That’s the thing about Hog Roast Ormskirk – we genuinely enjoy the challenge. If you’ve got a vision, a theme or even just a strong craving for something specific, we’ll work with you to build a menu that fits your needs.
Because good catering isn’t one size fits all. It’s about making sure every guest feels looked after – and leaves talking about the food for all the right reasons.
