Hog Roast Newcastle Helps Bellway Wow Clients With A Tasty Dinner!

LancashireNeed to impress clients? Don’t stress! Whether it’s a product launch, a team day out, or a simple thank you, a good meal always does the trick.

If there’s one thing everybody loves, it’s being treated to tasty food and drinks. And if you add a nice spot, you’ve basically nailed it.

Recently, Hog Roast Newcastle helped Bellway, a UK homebuilder, host a client dinner at Newcastle Castle. Yes, that old Norman castle – with its brick walls, original features, and stunning views over the city – was the perfect place to wow their 20 guests.

It’s not every day we get to serve in a castle! So, when Alyson contacted Hog Roast Newcastle’s to place a booking, we were determined to craft an exceptional experience for the guests.

The celebrations kicked off at 6 pm on the Castle Keep rooftop. With views of the River Tyne, High Level Bridge and Newcastle’s Glasshouse all visible from the venue, the setting alone was a major talking point. Hog Roast Newcastle (led by the incredible Sophie) didn’t miss a beat, and right on queue started serving our handmade canape selection, which paired perfectly with the champagne flutes the client had provided.

Guests were in their element as they tucked into pan-seared fillet of beef bites with mini Yorkshire puds and horseradish cream, handmade gourmet sausages with honey and wholegrain mustard glaze, roasted halloumi and tomato crostini, duck wraps and spring rolls and chicken liver parfait. As far as entrees go, Hog Roast Newcastle knocked this one out of the park. But our work was far from over!

After a bit of rooftop mingling, the guests joined us in the grand hall at 7:30 pm for the feast of a lifetime. To start with, we served heritage tomato and beetroot carpaccio, buffalo mozzarella, seasonal leaves drizzled with a balsamic reduction to each guest. This plated starter was followed by an elegant main course of sirloin, Yorkshire puddings, seasonal vegetables and dauphinoise potatoes dressed with a rich red wine gravy. The guests were in their element as they devoured this classic combination – but they were wise enough to save room for a pudding!

Dessert came in the form of profiteroles and sticky toffee pudding with cream, as well as tea, coffee and fresh mints. This was followed by a selection of local English cheeses dressed with figs, celery, grapes, biscuits, breads, chutneys and relishes later in the evening.

The client was thrilled with the service Hog Roast Newcastle provided, and our team certainly got their steps in with the party being spread across different parts of the castle. Would we do it all again? In a heartbeat!
