Hog Roast Preston Serves A Soul-Warming Spread At A Guy Fawkes Event!

Hog Roast Preston“Remember, remember the 5th of November…” We all know the line, don’t we? Bonfires, fireworks, the smell of smoke in the air – it’s one of those nights that never gets old.

And this year, we at Hog Roast Preston had a Bonfire Night we won’t be forgetting anytime soon. We were asked along to cater for around 200 guests at GBA Logistics Ltd over on Moss Lane, and what a night it turned out to be.

By the time we set up, darkness was already creeping in and the excitement in the air was building. We could hear people chatting, laughing, and waiting ever-so-patiently for that first firework to go off. While all that was going on, our hog was cooking away slowly, the skin crackling and the smell drifting through the air – honestly, there’s nothing better on a cold November evening.

When it was time to serve, the queue formed around our stall pretty quick. Hog Roast Preston filled soft buns  with generous portions of pulled pork, crispy crackling, sage and onion stuffing, and a dollop of applesauce. Warm, hearty, and exactly what you want when the night’s a bit chilly.

We didn’t forget about the veggies either. Our grilled veg and halloumi kebabs on soft flatbreads, drizzled with sweet chilli and tzatziki, went down a storm. A few meat-eaters even gave them a go – we’ll take that as a win.

Hog Roast PrestonThe fireworks were brilliant too. The bright colours lit up the sky while everyone tucked into their food. You could feel that happy buzz radiating from the guests all evening long. Our caterers had such a laugh with the GBA team and met loads of lovely people along the way.

All in all, it was a brilliant night – one we’re sure the guests will be raving about for a long time to come!

Bonfire Night might be done and dusted for this year, but there’s always another reason to fire up the roaster. So, if you’re planning an event soon – no matter what it is – be sure to give Hog Roast Preston a shout. We’d love to feed you.
