Cleo and her fiancé are getting married this summer at a beautiful countryside resort in Lancashire. The venue features miles of manicured gardens, a natural lake, and an elegant veranda, making it the perfect place for a summer wedding reception. The couple have planned a reception with 90 guests in attendance, as well as a wonderful live band to perform in the evening. Additionally, Hog Roast Cliviger has been hired to provide a delicious catering menu for the occasion. Our catering manager Sophie was a great help and discussed all of our menu options with the couple. It was decided that a classic hog roast would be ideal for the occasion if served with a few additional dishes to ensure that there was something for every guest to enjoy. Sophie got to work on creating the perfect menu for the occasion and soon it was time to get to work!
On the wedding day, the Hog Roast Cliviger team arrived at the venue in the morning and set up our catering station under the veranda. We began by preparing the main dishes, which included a delicious slow-roasted hog, succulent pork sausages, and meat-free sausages. These dishes were cooked to perfection and served in fresh bread rolls alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we provided homemade chips, sweet potato fries, corn cobettes, a green leaf salad, and a Caesar salad. Overall, this menu had plenty for the guests to enjoy and was perfect for enjoying alongside the entertainment.
