Marking 40 Years With A Hog Roast Colne Dining Event

Hog Roast ColneWith nearly 3 decades of business under our belt, we at Hog Roast Colne figure we’ve been at this one thing for a long time, but that number pales in comparison to the 40 years that one of our long-time customers has spent with his place of work.

Mark Twigg has been on the Hog Roast Colne radar for quite some time. He is a local that has employed our hog roasting services for a couple of events throughout the years, including birthdays, anniversaries, and even corporate events for his own workplace. Any of the Hog Roast Colne staff will be able to tell you that Mark is an incredible customer, and it is a joy anytime we get to join him for one of his celebrations.

Hog Roast ColneWhat we didn’t quite know about Mark, however, is that he has been with his workplace now for a whopping 40 years. Working in the sales industry, Mark has been a valued member of his company since the 80s, joining the team early on when the business was just barely in the double digits of staff members. Being with his workplace for that long, it is no surprise that Mark has ascended high up the ranks, and even still after 40 years, and at 64 years young, Mark has no intentions of slowing down quite yet. Knowing this, his workplace put together a special 40th anniversary celebration for him to enjoy with colleagues both present and former of Mark’s. Knowing, too, that Hog Roast Colne is one of his favourite caterers, they called us out too to supply our stylish culinary touch to the day.

Mark was unaware that such a celebration was taking place in his name, so our Hog Roast Colne chefs were discreet when we arrived and immediately got to work in a back area preparing our hog roast. Mark arrived to the event location believing it to just be a regular corporate event ran by the company, so it was a major surprise when he was instead cheered into the room and met with the sight of his favourite hog roast being wheeled out by our chefs. The surprise worked a treat, as did our foods, and the entire event which was an incredible celebration of Mark’s life at the company.

If a 50th somehow comes around, we’ll look forward to being there too!
